We Can Help With ... Personal Therapy

To understand the nature of personal issues, we need to go back in time.
Ug lived 20,000 years ago. He was out with his family one day when they were attacked by a sabre-toothed tiger. Ug survived by running away. His mother and father were killed because dad decided to stay and fight. Afterwards, whenever Ug saw a tiger, he got scared. His stomach muscles clenched, his heart pounded, he sweated. The reaction was also generated with any scary animal – it's what kept him alive when danger was present.
Now fast forward to the present day. Jack gets a phone call from his boss asking him to come into his office because he wants a word. His stomach muscles clench, his heart pounds, he sweats. He is anxious. Jack is exhibiting the same reaction as Ug and his father – it's called the fight or flight response and is a normal human reaction. It kept Ug alive, but in Jack's case it'll probably kill him early. If it doesn't kill him, it will certainly affect his health and make his life less pleasurable than it should be.
This inappropriate triggering of the fight or flight response is behind many personal issues, especially anxiety and panic attacks.
However, the principle behind it is responsible for many more issues. Something in our past, perhaps the environment in which we were brought up, or something scary that happened to us, can trigger the reaction. Or we develop ways of behaving that we think make us secure, like hand washing or excessive checking. Or perhaps we never quite feel that we are achieving what we should, so we get depressed or we live in fear of not living up to expectations.
All these conditions can be treated by a combination of hypnotherapy and NLP & EFT from Transformation Hypnotherapy & NLP. We identify what's causing the way of thinking or behaving and then work with you to develop the right set of techniques to cope with it.
But this doesn't mean we spend the time delving into your past – that isn't necessarily helpful. Instead, we find the coping techniques that best help you deal with it, regardless of the cause, so you can move on with your life and start enjoying it again, free from the suffering.
